Mapping the Scottish Reformation

From the project site: "Our website can help you explore the lives and careers of Scottish clergy between 1560 and 1689. This is the first project to comprehensively chart the growth, movement, and networks of Scottish ministers and is based on over 10,000 pages of manuscripts held at the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Our maps are interactive and the filters on the right hand side allow you to build powerful searches of our data, that you can then download for your own research. Currently, our focus is the area around modern day Edinburgh, but we’ll be expanding to the rest of Scotland soon."

Abstract

From the project site: "Our website can help you explore the lives and careers of Scottish clergy between 1560 and 1689. This is the first project to comprehensively chart the growth, movement, and networks of Scottish ministers and is based on over 10,000 pages of manuscripts held at the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Our maps are interactive and the filters on the right hand side allow you to build powerful searches of our data, that you can then download for your own research. Currently, our focus is the area around modern day Edinburgh, but we’ll be expanding to the rest of Scotland soon."
