A repository of primary sources and documents that was one of the United States' first formal collecting programs. "The mission of the Hoover Institution Library & Archives is to collect, preserve, and make available the most important materials about global political, social, and economic change in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries." The focus of the collections tends to still focus on war, revolution, and peace.
