"Join us as Laura C. Cowan, award-winning speaker, CSU alum, educator, activist and mom of three shares her tale of survival and heroism. Her story is one that will be forever etched in California's history. Escaping from an abusive, polygamist marriage, Laura and her three children endured unimaginable abuse.

Laura spends countless hours advocating for and supporting the voices that cannot be heard and the faces that cannot be seen. She believes that her mission is a community effort and has dedicated her life to making changes and bringing awareness for domestic violence victims and the missing." - CSU SGA.
