CSU-NLG Symposium: Beyond Black Letter Law

The Beyond Black Letter Law conference puts on three separate panel discussions with different topics. The first day, "Reimagining Policing," seeks to untangle the differences between defunding the police and police reform among other challenges with policing. Day two, "Movement Lawyering," discusses this newer ideology, which "seeks to utilize the law to bolster the power of people, organizers, and dismantle systems of oppression to work towards transformative justice and lasting change." Finally, day three entitled "Practicing the Law for the People" allows a few voices practicing movement lawyering to share their unique expereinces and perspectives.
