Notes from Inaugural Meeting (Feb. 27, 2022) of International Task Force for Displaced Scholars

From the task force, "We are a group of scholars and students who hope to leverage our positions at academic institutions to mitigate some of the effects of displacement on our international colleagues. While the Task Force began forming among Slavic and Eurasian Studies students and scholars based in the US and Europe, its framework is not restricted by geography, discipline, or rank."

The Task Force mission is "1. To direct and carve out resources at academic institutions for students and scholars displaced or otherwise affected by the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine and its attendant political crises;

2. To create a network of scholars and students that will be capable of responding nimbly to future violence and future crises without reinventing the wheel."
