Film Slam began as "a media literacy program mini-festival of films for students in grades 5-12."
From the source: "In the spring of 2020, FilmSlam smoothly evolved into FilmSlam Streams. The initial effort consisted of 160 short films (most of which were foreign language) from the current as well as previous Festivals. [...] In the summer of 2020, FilmSlam Streams was restructured to become the CIFF’s year-round digital media literacy program and online festival of films."
