Malia McAndrew | Collection: Right to Vote
From the YouTube Video: "The topic of voting rights has been in the news a lately. Sometimes it's helpful for us to look at the past in order to better contextualize the present. This lecture explains how notions of voting rights changed in the United States following the Civil War. Topics covered include the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the US Constitution, Reconstruction, Frederick Douglass and what has been called America's 'Second Founding.'
This lecture was created by historian Malia McAndrew and brought to you with the support of an educator enhancement grant from Ohio Humanities."
